Project Description:

Objective of the assignment is to document how selected family farmers are applying ICTs across the value chain activities to improve their productivity and income. Accordingly, the following are established as the key tasks the consultant is expected to execute;
1. Through desk research identify a number of African countries to draw lessons and human stories of family farmers application of ICTs
2. Identify case studies across the continent which to profile
3. Profile how each of the selected family farmer has applied ICT, by documenting their experience in terms of; access to ICT, skill levels, impact of use, challenges among others.
4. Provide recommendations on best practices at; policy and strategy levels for sustainable ICT adoption by family farmers in Africa.
