As I close this chapter of service as your Minister of ICT, I write to express what mere words can only begin to capture, my deepest and most sincere gratitude to you for believing in me and entrusting me with the privilege of serving Our King, His Majesty Oyo, as Minister of ICT.

It has, without question, been the greatest honour of my life, and a privilege I will cherish and speak of with pride for many years to come. I want you to know that this opportunity was never lost on me. To serve the Tooro Kingdom at such a pivotal moment, a time when we dared to imagine a digital future for our people, was a responsibility I carried with humility, grace and purpose every single day and for that chance, Honourable Prime Minister, I thank you and His Majesty for the faith and trust in me.

I remember the first time we met at Mountains of the Moon Hotel during the Maintains of the Moon University Chancellor’s dinner, where I delivered a key note address and you immediate recognized I have ideas to bring to table for the development of Tooro. Allow me to say, without reservation, that your leadership has been a masterclass in what it means to guide with vision and to lead with heart. Your mentorship shaped not only my work but my understanding of what service to the Kingdom truly demands and and above all, your humility, remarkable in a man of your stature and responsibility, has been, and will remain, one of the most enduring lessons I carry forward.

Just like his Majesty you have taught me the science and art of “strategic silence” in the world defined the desire to speak or deliver an opinion every minute in order to influence the narrative. I know leaders are remembered not only for what they build, but for how they made others feel capable of building alongside them. You did that for me.

I will forever hold close the memory of Kyanjojo, during that Cabinet meeting graced by His Majesty, when I had the honour of delivering the keynote on “The Tooro We Desire.”

Standing before our King and Cabinet that day, laying out a vision of Tooro as a beacon of innovation and digital transformation, remains one of the most profound moments of my public life. His Majesty’s presence, his attentiveness, and the spirit of possibility in that room will stay with me always. It was more than a meeting, it was a moment where a shared dream for our Kingdom felt within reach.

I cannot write this message without pausing to honour the memory of His Majesty King Oyo. His passing left a void that words cannot fill, not only for the Royal Family and the Batooro, but for all who had the privilege of serving under his reign.

I am still in disbelief that his is no longer with us. I count myself deeply fortunate to have stood before him at Kyanjojo, to have felt his belief in the promise of our generation, and to have witnessed, even briefly, the quiet wisdom of a King who carried his throne with grace from childhood into manhood.

His Majesty’s legacy of unity, dignity, and hope for Tooro’s future will remain a guiding light for me, and I know the vision we shared that day will long outlive the moment it was spoken.

May his memory continue to inspire all of us who carry forward the work he believed in.

That dream remains one I believe in fully: a Tooro Kingdom that stands as a global hub of innovation, enterprise, and technology. Drawing inspiration from the transformative journeys of nations like South Korea, UAE, Singapore and Estonia, who proved that deliberate, visionary investment in digital infrastructure and human capital can lift an entire people within a generation.

I remain convinced that Tooro possesses the same spirit, the same resilience, and now, thanks to the foundations we have laid together, the same opportunity.

To the new leadership stepping into this responsibility, I extend my warmest congratulations and my full confidence. May you lead with the same courage and clarity of purpose that this moment demands, and may the digital transformation agenda continue to advance in service of our people, in a manner worthy of His Majesty’s memory.

Finally, Honorable Prime Minister, this is not a farewell to the bonds we have built. I look forward to continuing to engage with you and with my fellow ministers in whatever capacity I am called to serve, and I will always cherish the relationships forged during this remarkable chapter.
